Unfold a Sweet Voyage

Sweets play an integral part in India, which is traditionally called “mithai”. Anything and everything starts or ends with mithai in India. In countries with rich traditions, just like India, having a sumptuous cultural base, sweets play an important part in any type of occasion or festival. Any kind of ceremony or occasion will have sweets in it as they signify good omen, happiness, and prosperity. In our bharat, every happy occasion is marked with the distribution of sweets to share their happiness.

Indians have their own way of cooking and serving sweets. In some cases, we offer prasad as an offering to the deity. Sweets of India come in various flavours, shapes, colours, and sizes according to the culture and region. Each sweet in India has a story to tell and some sweets are even more than 100 years old. Some sweets are specially dedicated to a day, region, or culture like rasgulla (roshogolla) from Bengal, Pinni from North-India, Payasam from Kerala, and Mysore Pak from Karnataka has their own aura of the region to it.

Missing traveling through places and eating their special food? Don’t worry, I have some sweet recipes from all over the country which you can try at your home and go on a “sweet and safe voyage”
