Meal planner to set you for a day!

Every night before going to bed, one question that haunts almost every homemaker is ‘what to cook for tomorrow’. Hoping to get a solution out of it, most of them resort to asking their family members for suggestions and quite often they get an answer- ‘Anything’s fine!’

Does that happen with you as well? No, don’t you worry, we relate to this very well, so we’ve put together a tasty meal plan especially for you. Simply organise the ingredients and you are good to go.

Breakfast

Essentially the most important part of the day is the breakfast. Its sets a tone for the day and so it must be something healthy as well as happening. We suggest, start your day with the good old friend uttapam, but with a healthier twist with oats, a rich source of fiber. Oats uttapam are not only easy to make and tasty but also filling. Serve them just like that or with a chutney of your choice as a healthy morning breakfast.

Lunch

Next comes the lunch which is equally important. Instead of making the usual roti, you can make a healthy and yummy Sattu Paratha with dahi on the side; and Litti Chokha, Baingan Chokha or Aloo Chokha, Bihar’s speciality, as a sider. Then with rice, you can try garma-garam Sindhi Kadhi. Finally, make Doodhi ka halwa as a sweet to go with this hatke meal combo. All in all it will be a healthy full course meal, which all the family members can enjoy together.

Snacks

During evening, we all crave for something tasty and light, but a slice of pizza is never a bad option, is it? So now, if you want to make a pizza, but are too lazy to bake or get a pizza base, then simply use the bread that you have at home, top it up with pizza sauce, fresh veggies and cheese and make a delicious bread pizza without oven! Use your tawa to cook the pizza till the base is crisp and the cheese melts. Kids absolutely love eating this and you will love making it too!

Dinner

After eating such yummy food through the day, we want something easy on stomach, and not too fancy. Besides, you must also be tired by now, and would be hoping for an easy-to-make recipe. So we suggest, Aloo meethi with roti and simple daal- chawal. Finally you can either have a nice ice-cream or Punjabi atta pinni, to end the day on a sweet note try!

With all these lip-smacking dishes, you can peacefully call it a day. In this meal planner we suggested you dishes from different states of India, as we think, at least once in a while, it is best to take a break from everyday meals and indulge in such a unique menu. Happy cooking.
