Make Your Sunday Brunch, a Fun-Filled Affair!

What’s a Sunday to you? Maybe a weekend trek with your friends, a family outing or just another lazy morning where all you want to do is never step out of your comfy bed. Well, for the lazy ones, there’s a 99% chance of missing out on your breakfast and waking up to the lunch hour. And bam! It’s time for brunch!

Nowadays, even restaurants and cafes have got their special brunch menus and I totally love how they’re vibing with the current generation. But why go out, when you can make something interesting and delightful at home? Here’s a list of my favourite Sunday brunch ideas which you’re surely going to enjoy without burning a hole in your pocket!

Thisoats recipemakes for the perfect brunch like no other. Mushroom and oats stir fried with fresh herbs and spinach, topped with a fried egg.Makes for a high protein, nutritious and quick option for not just Sunday, but any day of the week. Even better for the gym rat in you.

Pancakes are already a loved dish by all and with this pancake recipe, you can even add some nutrition to these. Stock some fresh pumpkins and make it a delectable brunch. Apart from adding a beautiful colour to thepancakes, pumpkin will give you your daily dose of nutrients. Garnish it with some kiwi slices and drizzle some honey for that extra flavour!

A delicious pasta recipe on a Sunday is definitely a good idea. Sheets of lasagna stuffed with mozzarella and cheddar cheese rolled into little pinwheels, stacked in a bake dish layered with a spicy tomato sauce. It is a dish which your family can not only enjoy eating together, but have a great time making together too.

Though it says breakfast, but it also makes for the perfect brunch. A great start to your Sunday – the delicious tortillas stuffed with nachos and so much more is going to be your darling dish, forever! But don’t go by the long list of ingredients, it’s going to be pretty easy to put it together and totally worth it!

Soft, melt-in-mouth idlis in the center and like a crisp dosa on the edges – hoppers should be the official brunch delicacy. Traditionally, made in South India and Sri Lanka, egg hoppers or appams can be eaten with a variety of chutneys, curries or even just like that with some red chilli powder sprinkled on top. Try this recipe with a coconutty flavour and fall in love with this beauty!

Salad recipes also are a great option when it comes to a quick, wholesome and easy brunch. The goodness of apples combined with the nuttiness of walnuts, this salad is a winner when it comes to taste as well as health. You can also make it as your dinner if you’re looking for something filling, yetlight on the stomach.
