Being happy is an art, but sometimes we struggle to find happiness. What do we do in that situation? We go to the kitchen and grab a quick sweet treat, don't you agree? And then happiness suddenly becomes achievable. Truly any mithai instantly brings a smile on everyone's face. Our Indian sweets come in a variety of shapes, tastes, colours and textures. So, today we thought of focusing on the amazing variety of sweets which are gol-gol or round in shape.

Gulab Jamun

First on the list is the world famous gulab jamun. The deep fried dough balls then soaked in sweet sugar syrup is a recipe served at almost every occasion. This round delight will surely satisfy your sweet cravings. Even though these might not have originated in India but still when you say gulab jamun, all the heads will turn to you wanting to indulge in this

dreamy sweet world.

Rasgulla

Next one is the gol-gol Rosogolla or Rasgulla, hailing from West Bengal. These lovely spherical dumplings dipped in sugar syrup will definitely leave you awestruck. This dessert is made out of chenna and tossed in syrup to make them perfectly soft, spongy and juicy.

Boondi laddoo

Then we have the ultimate shaadi favourite sweet - Boondi laddoo. This popular laddoo wins everyone's hearts at the weddings, but why limit it to wedding season only? We think you can make it any day. The boondi can be made from scratch using gram flour and then it can be made into gol-matol laddoo that you can enjoy.

Balushahi

Just like the name, this next round mithai has a shahi feeling. Balushahi is so rich and tasty that no one can resist it. This classic Rajasthani recipe is made with refined flour, ghee and so much love. Finally arrange the balushahi on a serving plate, pour some syrup over them, garnish with dried rose petals and pistachios and serve.

Ghevar

Lastly, on the list is a recipe that tastes absolutely heavenly, but is a little tricky to make - ghevar. Don't worry though, we have got you covered. Get your ingredients sorted and start making with confidence, it will turn out lovely. Fry the ghevar, ladling hot ghee over it 2-3 times, and then pour sugar syrup over it. It is not complete until you dress it with some rabdi on top, sprinkle some pistachio slivers, dried rose petals, almond slivers and silver warq, then enjoy.

We hope you liked these gol-gol recipes that are made with absolute love and affection.
