Our Indian Desserts have such a wide range of variety. From barfis and pedas to Shrikhand and balushahi, each has its own taste, texture and flavours making them so unique that they have become popular around the globe. Speaking of textures, there are some delicacies that are smooth and creamy, so you can pretty much sip on them. You have guessed it right, we are here to share with you some amazing yummy desserts to sip on and call it a day.

Lassi

The very first recipe on our list is the ultimate - Lassi. Every household always has a glass full of lassi, but more popularly it is seen to be paired with chole bhature. We have given it a twist by adding in the dry fruits. Chilled sweet Lassi loaded with dry fruits, is a perfect way to cool down your body after a long busy day. The addition of dry fruits gives it a rich dessert wali feeling.

Aamras

Next is a summer speciality- Aamras. This is a very popular Maharashtrian dessert made during the mango season. It can be really made with any type of ripe mangoes, and is a super simple method too. Usually served alongside garma-garam puffed puris, this aamras tastes good as it is, so you can sip on it and enjoy aam ka maza.

Kheer

Then comes the simple heartwarming Kheer which we have all had since our childhood. This one however, is with a twist of sitaphal or custard apple. Simply boil milk in one pan, and add in the roasted semolina, mix and cook till semolina is cooked. Lastly add in sugar and the custard apple pulp, and your dreamy creamy kheer is ready.

Sheer Khurma

Then we have Sheer Khurma, an integral part of the Eid menu, but can also be made on other days when you crave for one. It is a rich kheer made with vermicelli and milk and some flavourings to give it the festive touch. So make it at home and get that festive feeling anytime you want.

Basundi

Next on the list is - Basundi. It is a popular Gujrathi recipe where the reduced milk and condensed milk are mixed together along with some saffron, and garnished with mixed nuts and served warm or chilled. This thickened milk mithai is very rich and will fill up your tummy in no time. You can add in any other flavour to the basundi to make it more fun like - Sitaphal Basundi or santra basundi etc.

We hope you enjoy sipping on these all time favourite desserts with your friends and family.
