Coffee Time Made Memorable With Homemade Snacks

From the first sip of coffee in the morning to the late night coffee sessions, one thing that is inevitable is something crispy to munch on along with that piping hot cup of coffee. Truly enough, any tea-time or coffee-time is incomplete without its BFF- snacks. Moreover, we believe that these snacks add extra value to the already amazing coffee sessions. But what if we say that these snacks can be pre-prepped and all you need to do is open the lid and start munching? That is totally possible, as we have brought to you a list of crispy snacks that you can make at home for a fun coffee break.

First on the list is a little crispy delight loved by all age groups alike- Bhakarwadi. Even though making bhakarwadi is a little tedious, the result is definitely worth the try. First, you have to make a dough using gram flour and roll it up with a stuffing prepared with shredded coconut, which is then fried. Good part is it tastes yummy and can stay fresh for a very long time.

Next comes the king of snacks - Aloo Bhujia, a spicy sev made with gram flour, boiled potatoes and masalas. It is said that Aloo Bhujia was first created for the maharaja of the then princely state of Bikaner and his guests, and that eventually gained popularity all around India.

Then we have a Diwali special recipe - Chakli, which is now made all year around as everyone loves these spirals of crispiness. This savoury snack is primarily made using bhajanee flour, but you can alternate the flour as per your liking.

Moving on, we have irresistible Mathri which can be made in any flavour of your choice.

To achieve the exact crispiness consistently, all you need to do is to ensure that you mix hot oil into the flour and let the dough rest for some time before rolling and frying. Then you can store them in an air-tight container and enjoy whenever you crave them.

Lastly comes the Namak Para, a beloved crispy snack made with refined flour and whole wheat flour. The tiny diamond-shape of this snack makes everyone fall for it. They're not just delicious but also super easy to make as it requires the least amount of ingredients. And if you are a little health conscious then you can bake them instead of frying them, making it a whole lot fun.

All in all each of these snacks taste absolutely delicious, so remember to make a big batch and store in an airtight container for long term use. Have a happy coffee-snack time!
