An all-day meal plan to boost your health!

Updated: Jul 15, 2021

Food is our basic necessity and it surely makes a lot of difference in our day-to-day lives. It is one of the most important tools for a healthy, long and prosperous life. Eating wholesome and maintaining a balanced diet reduces the risk of many diseases and makes sure to keep your health in check. Every meal in an entire day is equally important and skipping any meal can affect our bodies in the long term. Health is the only precious thing that is going to be with us forever, and we’ve realized this more than ever since the world still continues to battle the gruesome pandemic. But who said eating healthy is boring and includes only vegetables and salads? Here is an all-day meal plan to kick start your healthy eating journey and I'm sure it will make you fall in love with its deliciousness too.

P.S: All these recipes are just easy peasy and lemon squeezy!

Breakfast

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of your day as your day starts with it. A healthy breakfast will give you the energy to survive a hectic day pretty easily.

Moong Idli

Idli is considered to be one of the healthiest foods in the world. Rich in carbs, fiber and also prevents you from overeating as they will fill your tummy soon. Moong dal is rich in proteins and antioxidants. This will be the perfect protein-rich and delicious way start to your day.

Pre-lunch snack

Anjeer milkshake

This Anjeer milkshake can be a perfect pre-lunch snack. Anjeer is a rich source of vitamin A, C, and K which is also filled with various essential minerals. The flavour of fig mixed with vanilla ice cream and milk will give you a flavour-packed beverage to gulp down!

Lunch

Lunch provides a break from the activities of the day and gives energy for the rest of the afternoon. Eating lunch also reduces stress and gives your brain and body a small break.

Phulkas and Palak Paneer

Roti and sabji are a staple Indian food and we can’t go a day without it. A plain roti is an excellent source of soluble fiber, which helps lower blood cholesterol levels and phulkas are low in calories so you can eat one extra phulka without worrying about those extra kilos. Palak paneer is a protein-packed dish, filled with nutrients. A classic Punjabi preparation where paneer is cooked in a yummy gravy prepared with spinach leaves.

Snack

Masoor dal Pakoda

A garmagaaram cup of chai with Masoor dal Pakoda will be bliss. The pakoda-chai jodi is just unbeatable be it any season and if it’s monsoon, then it’s sone pe suhaaga. While we’re looking for just healthy recipes to try out, pakodas come under the ‘not so healthy’ category but eating in moderation is another health aspect. Try air-frying the pakodas and add jaggery instead of sugar for a healthy makeover to chai.

Dinner

Eat your breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper. Just like this famous saying suggests, dinner should be light. But is should be healthy as well since you move on to the rest mode after enjoying your supper. When we speak about healthy and light recipes, how can we miss Khichdi?

Bajra Khichdi

This delicious delicacy is not just soul-satisfying but ultra-healthy too. Try this comforting bowl of Bajra Khichdi with a dollop of ghee on the top!

You can also improve your lifestyle by exercising regularly and practicing yoga and meditation. Staying hydrated is also as important as eating good food. Change your sleep schedule if it isn’t proper because your sleeping patterns can affect your health in more ways than you think.
